Farid Ghanbari is a 3D artist, who has produced a beautiful serie of digital textures called “Texture series01”, with Cinema 4D and Redshift
With this serie, Farid displays various shapes and colors. The result is gorgeous, very well detailed and colorful, like you’ll see below.
These are textures obviously, but I also feel like we’re seeing them from a plane, far above, discovering alien landscapes, another planet, full of leather, sand and nature. Those textures also seem to be very organic, like if they could move, change, live. They seem to be a part of a global ecosystem, and he did a precise close-up on a very small part.
Farid Ghanbari did a great combination of procedural textures, primitives, complexes textures and subtle lighting, which gives outstanding pictures, like directly extracted from a dream.
It reminds me the works of Lee Griggs and its digital landscapes. There’s actually more and more works about procedural landscapes and textures (I put additional links of 3D artist projects related to this style at the bottom of the article)
The project was done with Cinema 4D and Redshift. I have seen many works with Maya and XGen, and that’s great to see other 3D softwares capable of doing those digital textures.
I cannot wait to see more from Farid, and see the rest of his serie 🙂
